It's so damn pretty. Full credit to a chap by the name of Peter Burgess. He's a head porting specialist for a whole host of Brit engines. Didn't expect him to paint it as well :) more arty-er pics in the rest of the post
For reference, here's what it was like before:

It's always great to hear about a fellow opponaut getting ahead in life.

Thanks :)
As soon as the rotating assembly comes back from being balanced I can throw it all together.

Ooh, purty. I quite enjoyed just finding it on Oppo, but it must be a lot nicer to actually have it there to touch :)

It's for a 2.5l Triumph inline 6, which will be going into my little Spitfire project :) should be an utter rocketship with nearly twice the stock displacement (and nearly 4 times the power).
There's a little gallery of progress here , or you can search for the tag Spit6 on oppo :)

Thanks :) it's a clever one too. It's got a water jacket that's connected to the rest of the plumbing, so it contributes to hot running water and central heating.
That oak that came down on my cars should keep it going for bloody ages :)

It's from a 2.5l Triumph I6 that's going into my little Spitfire :)

I don't unfortunately. Might email the guy and see if he's got some.
The Fiat was flattened by a tree on Christmas eve :(
So far I've chainsawed the tree up and dragged the Fiat out. I think it's only the left-hand door that's escaped being battered, the windscreen's broken and the right rear suspension has collapsed.
Currently deciding whether to part it out to get enough money to buy another one, or sell it as a parts car (less money, but quicker sale).
Real shame, but it's parts will go on to help others survive.

Shall do :) I'm impressed by the crash protection more than anything. It's had a 200+ year old oak fall on it and there's still ample space for two passengers inside :)
